Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 October 20261. Who we are
Rune Academy is operated by its founders and is not yet a registered company. This section will be updated with the registered company's name, registration number and address once registration is complete. Contact: hello@runeacademy.net.
2. What the service does
Rune Academy generates practice mathematics questions in the style of UNEB examinations, marks students' handwritten answers from photographs, and provides written feedback. Marking is produced by automated systems and may be wrong. It is a practice aid, not an assessment of record, and it does not predict or substitute for official examination results.
3. Accounts
Schools are responsible for the accounts they create, including student accounts, and for keeping login details secure. Teachers and headmasters may only add students their school is entitled to enrol. We may suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service.
4. Fees and payment
The service is charged per student, per term, at the rate published on our pricing page. Each new school receives one free trial term. Fees are payable in advance of each term. Payment may be made by mobile money, bank transfer, or card, through our payment providers — we do not store card or mobile money credentials ourselves.
5. Cancellation and refunds
A school may stop using Rune Academy at the end of any term by telling us before the next term begins. Fees already paid for a term in progress are not refundable, because the service has been made available for that term. If we fail to provide the service for a sustained period, or if a payment is taken in error, contact us at hello@runeacademy.net and we will refund the affected period.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service depends on third-party providers, including internet connectivity and AI providers, and may be interrupted by them.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to a school is limited to the fees that school paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for examination outcomes, marks awarded, or decisions taken on the basis of feedback produced by the service.
8. Changes
We may change these terms or our prices. We will tell schools in advance, and a price change takes effect from the following term — never during a term already paid for.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, and disputes are settled by the Swedish courts. This does not take away any protection a school has under the mandatory law of its own country.
